Complete, Flexible Hyper-V Virtual Machine Protection

Double-Take Availability replicates and fails over Microsoft® Hyper-V virtual machines in real-time, locally or over any distance, without complexity. Double-Take Availability frees you from proprietary SAN replication technology, allowing you to use any available storage hardware to store virtual machine data in production or at the DR site.

Key Benefits:

  • Live migration over geographical distances: Double-Take Availability allows you to replicate and failover Hyper-V virtual machines in real-time locally or over geographic distances without the expense and complexity of other solutions.
  • Auto discover and rapid provisioning: Double-Take Availability integrates seamlessly with Hyper-V management interfaces to allows you to see a listing of all virtual machines in the environment and easily select which workloads to protect.
  • Live disaster recovery test without production downtime: Double-Take Availability allows you to bring up a replicated virtual machine in testing mode to make sure it works without affecting the production environment and then shut it down and resume protection of the production workload.

Flexible Protection - Unlike SAN-based protection of virtual machine data, software-based replication using Double-Take Availability means you have the flexibility to:

  • Select and protect virtual machines on a VM-by-VM basis, allowing you to protect and recover a single virtual machine or all virtual machines on a specified Hyper-V host;
  • Replicate and failover virtual machines to different Hyper-V hosts in different locations. One set of virtual machines can be replicated to and failover to a Hyper-V host in one city while another set of virtual machines can be replicated to and failover to a Hyper-V host in an entirely different city;
  • Configure replication options such as compression and throttling, monitor, manage and failover all virtual machines independently of one another.
