To solve this problem MerSETA deployed Double-Take Availability because it worked flawlessly over limited bandwidth. The implementation of Double-Take Availability took only one day and their business has been completely protected ever since.
MassHousing
Virtualization and Business Continuity: MassHousing had two fundamental challenges - 24x7 data access and support for a highly-complex IT infrastructure that includes SQL, Progress, Pervasive and Exchange, as well as a virtual environment featuring products from VMware. In the event of a system failure that prohibited access to data, MassHousing would not be able to provide any customer service, would be unable to transfer funds or share data with banks and its own staff would be prevented from completing its day-to-day work. In other words, data loss would necessitate a virtual shut-down of operations. To avert this, MassHousing selected Double-Take.

Consequently, AE Technology needed a solution that could secure continuous data and application availability for itself and its customers.
Alphawest Services
Like all successful organisations, Alphawest relies on several critical internal systems for its day-to-day operation. Alphawest had already embarked on the journey into virtualisation with the implementation of an internal private cloud, based on VMware’s vSphere platform, and NetApp storage. However a single centralised and consolidated data processing resource could not protect against a site-wide outage or natural disaster.
Cross IT Services and Solutions, LLC.
Server migrations and system upgrades are two of the many tasks that Cross IT performs for its clients. Doing this in a complicated computing environment that lacks complete documentation can be problematic. Consequently, Cross IT needed a data migration tool that allowed it to perform migrations quickly and cost-effectively in an unlimited number of environments. Foodmix Marketing Communications
Foodmix had a technical problem. VMware, the virtualization platform that ran a critical file server that the company uses to store, manage and share information, didn’t support some external data cards that Foodmix uses in its Apple Mac environment. Hyper-V, a virtualization platform that is an integral part of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2, does support those cards. Because Foodmix already used Windows Server 2008 and, therefore, would not incur any additional licensing fees if it used Hyper-V, the solution was clear. The critical issue that Foodmix, a 24x7 operation, had to address was the unacceptability of downtime while migrating the virtual file server from VMware to Hyper-V.
HotSchedules
HotSchedules is the premier provider of online restaurant workforce management solutions. Peak 10 needs a way to migrate new customers to its computing facilities with little or no operational downtime.
Prolifics
Prolifics utterly depends on email in its day-to-day operations. If the physical server running Microsoft Exchange Server were unavailable, a large portion of the communications within the company and with customers and suppliers would stop. Likewise, if its Microsoft Active Directory master server went down, the company would lose the ability to manage much of its IT operations. Thus, Prolifics needs to ensure that these servers are always available, even when a disaster strikes.
TeamPraxis
About 1,000 healthcare providers depend on TeamPraxis’ systems to process claims; add, update and access electronic health records; and manage their practices. If the company’s systems were down these processes would have to be performed manually, and some couldn’t be performed at all, which would be, to say the least, costly and cumbersome. McWilliams Forge
Reliable, fast recovery with failover: Like many organizations prior to joining the Double-Take® Software family, McWilliams Forge relied heavily on tape backup for business continuity. The catalyst for finding a better way to protect and recover their data came after having a severe production server crash. To recover, the McWilliams Forge team spent more than 40 hours rebuilding the system and though it worked, the recovery process was incredibly expensive, time consuming, and challenging for the team. As a result, McWilliams Forge recognized the need to provide an enhanced DR solution as well as 24x7 application availability for business continuity. Learn why they chose Double-Take Software.
Metrologic Instruments
Dell Case Study - After testing a few products that turned out to be quite limited, Metrologic chose Double-Take Software for storage replication. "The first few products we tested either couldn’t do real-time replication of certain CAD files or couldn't do byte-level replication," explains Schwartz. "We kept ending up with numerous copies of the same file everywhere. That is not very efficient from a storage perspective. Double-Take solved those issues. Beyond the benefits of file sharing between data centers, effective replication also played into both our backup and disaster recovery strategies."

With tape backup conducted nightly only, the Celtics were left each day with 24 hours of new, unprotected data.
Chickasaw Nation
Chickasaw Nation must keep their data within their sovereign realm and therefore the Nation has its own disaster recovery (DR) data center in Norman, Oklahoma. Currently, they use GeoCluster to replicate their financial systems to the DR site and Double-Take to replicate the HR/Payroll system. They test their DR plan semi-annually and have successfully tested the financial systems without a problem and zero data loss. It takes less than 5 minutes to fail over from the primary cluster in Ada to the DR server in Norman. They are also able to fail back their primary cluster with zero data loss.
dmg events
When dmg events manages a major exhibition, conference or online event it needs ready access to all related documents, including contracts, graphics files, spreadsheets, notes, and more. Ensuring ready access to all of its online documents is, therefore, of paramount importance to dmg.
Multimedia International Services
Real time data protection and failover: Multimedia International Services operates the UK’s largest electronic point of purchase advertising network. With installations in many UK Post Offices, private hospitals and leisure facilities, the company helps up to 18,000 local businesses advertise on highly visible digital screens in a range of busy locations. After a SAN corruption kept them out of business for four days, Multimedia International Services knew they needed to eliminate the single points of failure within their IT infrastructure. After trying to do this unsuccessfully for seven months with a competitor’s product, they selected Double-Take Software and successfully implemented in a day and a half. They now protect Exchange, database, web, reporting, content management, and BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) with Double-Take.
Tribune
Exchange Protection: Tribune is a major source of news throughout the country. Its main business is information, which makes internal messaging an important piece of day-to-day operations. To make its messaging system easier to manage, the company decided to migrate all of its 22,000 users to Microsoft Exchange 2003. After migrating, an outage of any kind would affect a lot of people. Not only would the 22,000 users at Tribune potentially loose email, but it could also affect the loyal viewers and readership that depend upon Tribune as a source for up-to-the-minute news. Tribune sought distance-based protection through its IT integrator and through Dell. Both recommended Double-Take®.

National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
Failover and Protection for Exchange and BES: NCMEC is unique for many reasons, one being a 24-hour, toll-free Hotline for the recovery of missing children in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Justice. When a child goes missing, 24x7 action is crucial and the availability of business-critical applications is vital to that process. Like many organizations today, NCMEC’s BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) is one of those critical applications. Their BES allows for constant communication and information sharing when looking for a missing child. Therefore, uptime (or minimizing downtime) is an essential part of their overall disaster recovery plan.

Nestlé Water
With business continuity a critical requirement for the company, the availability and protection of data from Nestlé Waters’ various sites had to be extremely reliable. The company also had another major challenge surrounding the availability of bandwidth between its branch offices. Nestlé Waters has three sites spread over an area of 600 miles. In total, approximately 360 users across the company are connected to its Ostazi ERP solution on a daily basis for purchasing, finance and production tasks.
Olymel L.P.
