DT 101 - eLearning - Using Double-Take© for Windows

In this web-based course you will learn how to install, configure, and use Double-Take to protect common applications such as Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Exchange. Best practices for protecting common applications will be provided in context. After completing this course you should be able to return to your production environment and complete the tasks simulated in each module. Informal, un-graded quizzes at the end of each module will review key points. These quizzes will prepare you for the CDP Exam.

Double-Take Availability for Linux - Self-paced Training

Double-Take Availability for Linux is a self-paced course in which you will learn how to use Double-Take Availability in a virtual Linux environment using full-functionality, web-based CentOS virtual servers which are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The class consists of a Flash tutorial and a lab workbook in PDF format, and access to three virtual machines for hands-on labs. Students will have access to fully functioning software and a time-limited activation code. Help is just an email away by contacting the eTrainer at any time.

Course Goal:
The goal of this course is to provide you with the knowledge to install and use Double-Take Availability for Linux for file system and block device replication. Additionally, you will gain fundamental knowledge of Double-Take Availability, its key operations, related vocabulary, and an overview of technical considerations for data replication.

Learning Objectives:
After completing this course, users will be able to complete the following tasks:

  • Install Double-Take Availability for Linux
  • Complete Double-Take Activation using DTSetup
  • Add a user to the Double-Take Administrators group
  • Configure a DTFS mount point for file system replication

The GeoCluster Solution - eLearning

In this narrated, web-based course you will be introduced to Microsoft clustering terms and components, such as node, cluster, majority node set, arbitration, resources and resource groups, and various cluster service components. Additionally, you will learn the differences between quorum and cluster types.

After course completion, you will be able to explain how GeoCluster uses Double-Take technology to protect data, and how to apply basic best practices for clustering in your environment.
