AVL200 Double-Take Availability provides you with the baseline skills for installing, configuring, and using Double-Take Availability in your environment. You will learn and practice using all aspects of the core Double-Take technology, including key features such as failover, failback, restoration, orphan file control, bandwidth limiting, compression, advanced scripting options, basic Double-Take Command Language, as well as troubleshooting techniques and best practices.
AVL200 Double-Take Availability is a lab-intensive class. You will use Double-Take Software Availability products extensively in active learning labs. You will also learn how to use the Double-Take Console and Double-Take Reporting Center for statistical analysis, identify key Double-Take performance counters, and how to use various performance monitor tools for troubleshooting.
The class includes thorough explanation and use of Double-Take Availability Application Manager for MS Exchange 2007 and MS SQL Server 2008. Double-Take Availability Full Server Failover for system state protection is also provided.
Class Prerequisites This class is designed for a wide variety of individuals, from sales personnel to system engineers. You are most likely to have success in this class if you possess the following skills:
- Have intermediate knowledge of the Windows® 2008 Server interface and familiarity with its terminology including connecting to network shares, using the Windows Explorer to cut, paste, copy files, add or connect to network shares/drives, and navigate the Windows operating system without instruction.
- Have experience with graphical user administration tools on a network.
- Have hands-on experience with computer hardware and software.
- Have installed Windows 2008 Server© and service packs.
- Use the Windows Event Viewer to troubleshoot system issues.

You will learn and practice using all aspects of Double-Take RecoverNow and Double-Take Move for data migration. You will use Double-Take RecoverNow extensively in active learning labs, including options for system state protection, continuous data protection, and using Kroll® Ontrack PowerControls for recovering MS Exchange data. Class Prerequisites This class is designed for a wide variety of individuals, from sales personnel to system engineers. You are most likely to have success in this class if you possess the following skills:
