Double-Take RecoverNow protects entire Microsoft Windows servers, including the operating system and installed applications. When you need to recover, you won’t need to re-install and configure applications to match the original server. Double-Take RecoverNow provides a full and hardware-independent backup image, enabling complete and fast recovery to your choice of physical or virtual environments.
When recovering to a physical server, patented system state processing recovers installed applications and operating system configurations to the Windows operating system on the new server. After merging the system states and rebooting, the recovered server has the network identity, applications, and data of the original production machine.
For recovery to a virtual server, Double-Take RecoverNow provisions and configures a new virtual machine that is an exact match to the original production machine. You can adjust the number of CPUs, memory, and virtual disk sizes of your virtualized recovery server to ensure that resources are allocated sensibly. Auto-provisioned virtual recovery is supported on Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware ESX environments.
